Security Consulting

Compliance Assessment & Readiness

Turn complex cybersecurity requirements into a practical, evidence-led plan. Review your scope, identify control gaps and prioritize the work needed for NIS2, DORA, DFARS, CMMC and NIST readiness.

Readiness consulting is not certification, a legal opinion or a guarantee of compliance. Applicability, assessment authority and delivery scope are confirmed for your organization and contracts.

Security Consulting

Five frameworks. One clear starting point.

Start with the obligations that actually apply to your organization—not a generic checklist. Regulations, contract clauses and security frameworks have different purposes.

NIS2

EU cybersecurity governance

Official reference

Who it concerns

Essential and important entities in covered sectors, subject to national implementation, size rules and exceptions. Applicability must be checked in the relevant member state.

Assessment focus

  • Management oversight, risk management and supply-chain security
  • Incident handling, continuity, access control and security awareness
  • Notification workflows: 24-hour early warning, 72-hour incident notification and final reporting, subject to applicable rules

Readiness output

An applicability review, mapped control gaps and an incident notification responsibility matrix, with priorities for technical and governance improvements.

NIS2 is a directive implemented through national law, not a universal product certification.

DORA

Financial-sector digital resilience

Official reference

Who it concerns

In-scope EU financial entities and their ICT supplier relationships. Oversight of designated critical ICT third-party providers is distinct from ordinary supplier obligations.

Assessment focus

  • ICT risk governance, asset dependencies and business continuity
  • Major ICT incident classification, reporting and response evidence
  • Resilience testing, ICT third-party contracts and registers of information

Readiness output

A resilience gap register, supplier and evidence review, and an improvement roadmap aligned to applicable DORA requirements and technical standards.

DORA has applied since 17 January 2025. Threat-led penetration testing requirements apply to selected entities, not every organization.

DFARS

Defense contract cybersecurity

Official reference

Who it concerns

Contractors and subcontractors with applicable US Department of Defense clauses, particularly where covered defense information is handled on contractor systems.

Assessment focus

  • DFARS 252.204-7012 safeguarding requirements and contractual flow-down
  • Cyber incident reporting within 72 hours and required evidence preservation
  • Applicable NIST SP 800-171 baseline, assessment clauses and cloud/data-handling restrictions

Readiness output

A contract-informed scope, a safeguarding gap review and an incident reporting/evidence plan. Confirm the required NIST revision and any assessment obligations against the actual contract.

DFARS is a procurement regulation with distinct clauses; it is not interchangeable with CMMC or a general compliance certificate.

CMMC

Defense supplier assessment readiness

Official reference

Who it concerns

Defense contractors where the solicitation or contract specifies a CMMC level. Scope and assessment type depend on the information handled and the contractual requirement.

Assessment focus

  • Level 1: FCI safeguarding; Level 2: CUI protection using 110 NIST SP 800-171 Rev. 2 requirements
  • Level 3: selected NIST SP 800-172 requirements in addition to Level 2
  • Assessment boundaries, evidence quality, SSP and permitted POA&M use

Readiness output

A scoped readiness gap register and evidence preparation roadmap for the required level. Formal self-assessment, C3PAO or government assessment follows the applicable CMMC rules.

Readiness support does not issue a CMMC status or replace an authorized assessment. Do not automatically substitute NIST Rev. 3 for the CMMC Level 2 Rev. 2 baseline.

NIST

Risk-based security frameworks

Official reference

Who it concerns

Organizations building a risk-based cybersecurity program, or protecting CUI under applicable contracts. Select the publication that matches the purpose of the engagement.

Assessment focus

  • CSF 2.0: Govern, Identify, Protect, Detect, Respond and Recover
  • Current and target profiles, governance ownership and prioritized risk treatment
  • SP 800-171: protecting CUI in nonfederal systems, using the applicable contractual revision

Readiness output

A current-to-target profile or control gap assessment, with evidence references, owners and an actionable roadmap. CSF maturity and CUI safeguarding are separate assessment objectives.

NIST CSF 2.0 is a framework, not a NIST-issued certification. SP 800-171 Rev. 3 is a published revision, but contractual baselines may still require Rev. 2.

From requirements to working controls

A structured engagement connects leadership, IT, security and compliance teams around an agreed scope and a prioritized remediation roadmap.

  1. 01

    Confirm applicability & scope

Identify legal entities, contracts, critical services, data types and system boundaries. Agree the framework baseline and responsible stakeholders.

  2. 02

    Review controls & evidence

Use interviews, documentation and agreed technical checks to distinguish implemented controls from undocumented assumptions. Record evidence and gaps.

  3. 03

    Prioritize remediation

Rank gaps by risk and obligation. Assign owners, dependencies and target dates; separate quick improvements from projects needing budget or organizational change.

  4. 04

    Prepare & maintain readiness

Recheck agreed improvements, organize the evidence pack and rehearse escalation. Plan periodic reviews as systems, contracts and regulatory requirements change.

Evidence you can use. Actions you can own.

Agree the deliverables before work starts. The aim is an honest view of readiness, traceable evidence and a realistic improvement plan—not a badge without substance.

Control gap register

Requirements linked to reviewed evidence, observed gaps and risk-based priorities.

Remediation roadmap

A sequenced action plan with owners, dependencies and proposed milestones.

Evidence & reporting map

An evidence index and escalation responsibilities aligned to your applicable framework.

Executive readiness briefing

A decision-ready view of exposure, investment priorities and remaining responsibilities.

Keep compliance connected to security operations

A policy alone cannot investigate an alert. MDR360 supports the operational layer with 24/7 monitoring, investigation, escalation and incident evidence across agreed, onboarded sources.

MDR360 Standard detects and notifies; the client performs containment. Advanced adds active endpoint containment and authorized remediation. Ultimate adds Entra ID and cross-domain coverage within the agreed scope. NGFW services are optional add-ons. None of these packages independently establishes regulatory compliance.

DIAMATIX brings DFARS and NIST experience for defense companies. Wider readiness work, technical implementation and formal assessment arrangements are scoped separately; no assessor accreditation is implied.
