DIAMATIX × Acronis at Municipal EXPO 2026
DIAMATIX and Acronis will participate together at Municipal EXPO 2026, part of the Annual Meeting of Local Authorities, taking place from 11 to 13 October in Albena, Bulgaria.
Organised by the National Association of Municipalities in the Republic of Bulgaria, the Annual Meeting of Local Authorities is the country’s largest national forum dedicated to local policies, governance and municipal development. Each year, the event brings together more than 800 representatives of municipalities, central government, business, academia, partner organisations and international guests.
This year’s programme places a strong focus on digital transformation and cybersecurity, while Municipal EXPO and the Innovation Zone will present practical solutions in digitalisation, infrastructure, energy efficiency, transport and public services.
For DIAMATIX and Acronis, the event is a natural continuation of our long-standing partnership and our joint work with the public sector. Today, we work together with more than 40 Bulgarian municipalities, while DIAMATIX is an Acronis Platinum Service Provider.
Cybersecurity, data protection and operational resilience
At the joint DIAMATIX × Acronis stand, visitors will be able to discuss practical approaches to:
- 24/7 monitoring and response to cybersecurity incidents;
- protection of systems, devices, applications and data;
- backup and recovery;
- protection of critical information and digital services;
- cyber risk management;
- NIS2 (Network and Information Security Directive 2) readiness and regulatory compliance;
- operational resilience and faster recovery after disruption.
We will demonstrate how Acronis technologies and DIAMATIX managed services can work together as part of an integrated security model, from prevention and continuous monitoring to incident response and recovery.
For municipalities, this approach is particularly important. Information systems support day-to-day administrative processes, communication, citizen services and an increasing number of digital services. Cybersecurity is therefore directly connected not only to protecting IT environments, but also to the continuity and reliability of public services.
Regulatory readiness as part of cyber resilience
Alongside technology, public-sector organisations operate in an environment of increasing requirements around risk management, information protection and incident preparedness.
NIS2 (Network and Information Security Directive 2) places stronger emphasis on cybersecurity risk management, organisational measures and incident response.
GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) requires appropriate technical and organisational measures for protecting personal data, while ISO/IEC 27001 (Information Security Management Systems) provides an established framework for the systematic management of information security.
For organisations, this means that technology alone is not enough. They need a clearly defined capability to monitor, detect, respond, recover and document security processes.
A long-term partnership with a practical focus
The partnership between DIAMATIX and Acronis combines Acronis technology with DIAMATIX operational cybersecurity expertise.
Acronis provides technologies for cyber protection, backup and disaster recovery, while DIAMATIX adds the expertise of a 24/7 Security Operations Center (SOC), continuous monitoring, analysis and incident response.
This model allows organisations to approach cybersecurity not as a collection of isolated tools, but as a continuous operational process with clear ownership and readiness to act.
Our experience working with more than 40 Bulgarian municipalities also gives us a practical view of the challenges faced by the public sector, including limited internal resources, distributed systems, sensitive data, continuity requirements and increasing cybersecurity and compliance expectations.
DIAMATIX Perspective
Cyber resilience starts with an organisation’s ability to continue operating when something goes wrong.
For a municipality, protection does not end with deploying antivirus software, backup or another individual security technology.
It requires visibility across the environment. Timely detection. Clear incident ownership. Reliable backup. And a tested ability to recover.
At DIAMATIX, we treat these elements as part of one continuous process: we assess risk, monitor, detect, respond and support recovery.
Our partnership with Acronis strengthens this approach with technologies that connect system and data protection with the ability to restore normal operations as quickly as possible.
The goal is not more tools.
The goal is better visibility, lower operational risk and real readiness to act.
